Sand Tarts

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • Flavoring to taste (2 tbsp) vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups flour

Directions

Chill dough. Roll very thin, then mask with egg white and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and nut meats.

Bake at 375 until lightly golden brown and crispy, about 9 minutes.
