Award-winning Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2.25 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks salted butter
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Mix flour, baking soda, salt; set aside
  2. Cream softened butter and both sugars in a mixer
  3. Add 2 eggs to the creamed mixture, beat quickly, then add vanilla and beat again
  4. Slowly incorporate flour mixture
  5. Add chocolate chips to taste. Cookie dough can be refrigerated, bring back to room temperature before baking.
  6. Bake for 9-10 minutes. After removing from oven, let cookies sit for 1 minute on tray before moving to cooling rack.
